This is good.

A _real_ world example of either a kernel-space or user-space
solution is desirable, then people can start talking about the
reality of the situation, not just theory.

Anyhow, since when was Linux a theoretical test bed? If I wanted that
I'd run plan9 or whatever and go back to school.
