Thats fair enough I think. Right now all the GUS folks seem to be working on
ALSA though 8)

Ultimately its Linus decision but my criteria are which is best maintained,
smallest and cleanest. One reason for the current sound_core is so you can
mix OSS/non OSS/Alsa drivers together (and I hope for 2.2 Hannu will use
it so you can have commercial OSS modules mixed with this lot too)
