Hi!

I have send this to Christoph Lameter who was mantaining the bridge driver
and he's told me to comment this arround here, so here it goes to see if
anyone can help me!

I've been trying the bridge driver with quite amazing results, everything
worked just fine once I figured out all the stuff (I didn't have your
package with all the doc but just the original one with no doc).

The problem is that yesterday I got from a linux magazine the
Network Promiscuous Ethernet Detector (neped.c,v 1.2) and when trying it
on the local network... the Bridge died!

I'm just suposing that it was becouse of the bridge driver as other
systems in promiscous mode with same kernel compiled with nearly the same
options (all but bridging) didn't die. Besides, if the bridge ports aren't
in promisc mode or bridging is fully disabled it doesn't die!

The problem seems to be with the arp flood the program causes when sending
all the arp who-has packets to the net!

Is there a solution for this?

Thanks in advance!
