Maybe Bill Hawes' Defrag-O-Matic patch is the complete fix. I did some
testing with it, and always had high order memory available in plenty
even when stress testing with little ram enabled.
I was testing mostly with <=16 meg enabled, so I presume that getting
a large DMA chunk wouldn't have been a problem. I didn't actually test
that though.
