I just installed the 2.1.118 patch and recompiled the kernel. But now
I get the following:

# modprobe zftape sound
/lib/modules/2.1.118/misc/zftape.o: unresolved symbol request_module
/lib/modules/2.1.118/misc/sound.o: unresolved symbol request_module
