Hi everybody,

since there exists some documentation about how to get an ESS1868
soundcard to life I thought I could do another try to run my
Guillemot Maxi Sound64 Dynamic 3D with ESS1868 chipset under linux.

But I have had no luck so far and I hope that somebody in this
mailinglist can help me. Here come some informations about my
setup:

The card is initalized using isapnptools-1.15, the card seems to
get it's interrupt and the mixer settings are all at least 50% (using
aumix). I tried alsa also but had no luck with it either :(

I've read something about mixer routing or something like this
a long time ago in this mailinglist but I can't find this posting
any more. Maybe it's just a problem of not unmuting the sound card.
I don't know.

Tips are really welcome.

Regards,

Jogi

Well, yeah ... I suppose there's no point in getting greedy, is there?
