It is driver limitation. SB16 or newer (dsp =>4.04)
can use two dma channels - one 8 bit and one 16 bit.
You can program one channel for recording and the other for playing.
The sample rate will be the same for both modes. There is option
for using 8 bit dma channel for both - 8 or 16 bit rec/play but
not simultaneously. Do i miss something?
