Yes I see that too, I've just been ignoring it. I seem to remember that
it also happens with vga=ext too, but don't quote me on that as it's
been a very long time since I've used that mode ;).

Actually someone was very impressed, and actually asked my how I got the
"Cool overlineing on directories", well until I told them it was a bug ;)

More info if anyone cares ...
The board is a Circa 1994 "ATI 210888GX (rev 1)" (from /proc/pci) Mach64
with a "ATI18818-1" clockchip, an "ATI68860 Rev B" ramdac, and 2Mb of
memory. It's the OEM job that came with my Gateway P5-90 (long since
upgraded to a P5-200MMX ;).
