Hello,

I'm using on-board ATI Mach64CT video card:

Chipset: ATI 264CT (Port Probed)
Memory: 2048 Kbytes
RAMDAC: ATI Mach64 integrated 15/16/24/32-bit DAC w/clock
(with 6-bit wide lookup tables (or in 6-bit mode))
(programmable for 6/8-bit wide lookup tables)
Attached graphics coprocessor:
Chipset: ATI Mach64
Memory: 2048 Kbytes

Under standard VGA mode (80x25; Linux's default) it works fine.
After compiling 2.1.116 I tried the vga=ask switch and started
it with mode 9 (0122) - 100x40. It also works fine, except
one thing. The blue text is overlined (= there's a line over
it). I mean ls --color=yes, vim with syntax highlighting and
echo -e "\033[34m" produce blue text which has a line over it.
It doesn't look too good. See the "screenshot" ;) :

[root@atlantis /]# ls -w 70 --color=yes
___ ____ ___ ____
bin home opt sbin
____ ___ ____ ___
boot lib proc tmp
___ __________ ___
dev lost+found quota.user usr
___ ___ ____ ___
etc mnt root var

Now "squeeze" the "___"'s with letters and imagine directories
blue.

The problem exists with blue colored text, both highlighted
and normal, but only when the background is black
(echo -e "\033[0;34mlike this \033[1mand this\033[41m, but not\
this \033[0;32mnor this\033[0m").

The same thing happens with 2.1.117. Here is .config:

And one more question: Loading ISO-Latin-2 fonts under 2.1.11x.
I'm using setfont and loadlkeys from kbd 0.95, so probably
it's too old (maybe there should be an info about it in
Changes?). Is there a patch which would make it work, or
does a new kbd version support it (I don't feel like
getting 1 MB with 28800 modem just to check that it doesn't
work... ;)). And BTW, where can I find precompiled
XF86_FBDev/i586?

Regards,
Dawid Kuroczko
