Netscape hangs indefinitely on startup:

whistler:~$ps awnl 597
FLAGS UID PID PPID PRI NI SIZE RSS WCHAN STA TTY TIME COMMAND
10 500 597 614 0 0 18520 11768 c018a4d4 D 0401 0:03 /usr/local/src/netscape-4.5/i386-unknown-linux/netscape -install

>From /System.map:

c018a4cc T __down_failed
c018a4d8 T __down_failed_interruptible
c018a4e4 T __up_wakeup

The netscape executable is on a NFS mounted partition (if
that's relevant?). I can reproduce this reliably with
2.1.117, but it didn't happen with the previous version
I was using (2.1.110), and it doesn't happen in 2.0.33
either.

Kernel version is 2.1.117 on a i386 (UP), compiled with
gcc 2.7.2.3.

Rich.
