Re: pppd 2.3.5 and 2.0.x

I am running a vanilla 2.1.106 kernel at home (I believe that's the last
version of the kernel without all the vgacon/vgafb/etc stuff), using
RedHat 5.1, and all I had to do to get pppd (the version that comes with
RH51) to work was edit the binary and change the string "2.1.17" to
"2.1.00" (as I recall). After that change, it works fine for me.
