Yeah, that's going to be an issue, yet I've heard grumblings that IBM
was going to stop supporting the CISC, not PPC, based AS/400 at some
time, maybe an opportunity then?

Exactly, you can pick up a small, (2-10 user), AS/400 for less than
$1,000.00, that's virtually impossible to break.
