Unusually heavy swapping

Hi,
Under 2.1.116 + devfs-v53, I've noticed that it seems to swap unusually
much under somewhat normal load conditions. Right now I'm running Lynx,
BitchX, and two ytalks (someone logged in) with micq running, but already it
is using 7MB of swap. Lynx has been running for quite a while and BitchX not
as long, but I am just curious if this is a memory leak caused by the kernel
or if I am just hallucinating. On occasion, for instance, when I receive
perhaps one post from IRC, the system thrashes for about 10 seconds.
Not sure what's causing this, but maybe the TCP buffer allocation bug that was
fixed in 2.1.116 has a minor error in it. Just a thought.

Thanks much
-Eric
