2.1.116 was just released. I haven't tried it yet, but I'll bet
it is even more stable with less bugs.
Just make sure that your system contains all of the software
versions listed in /usr/src/linux/Documentation/Changes of the
2.1.x kernel you decide to use.
All i did was upgrade pppd and a few other things from RedHat
5.1, and so far everything seems to work fine.
I loaded my 2.0.x config file into 2.1.x menuconfig, and then
went from there. It worked just fine.
