2.1.116p2 + modules = undefined symbols

If I build a modular kernel from 2.1.116p2 (+ compilation error fixes),
many of the modules have the symbols "__getlock" and "__putlock"
undefined. A monolithic kernel works ok.

Have others run into this problem or have I screwed something up?
