Stock 2.0.x kernels only compile correctly under gcc 2.7.2. This is a
fact. Workarounds are possible (the ioport.c hack), but other things
can/will silently break. Compiling with something which is not gcc 2.7.2
is asking for trouble, and there is no real performance advantage in doing
so. Please read the FAQ.
