Back in '95 I actually hacked on a C++ toolkit which was intended to
be a souped-up version of dialog, but with a twist: in addition to the
ncurses backend (80x24 text/pseudographics), it also had a 640x480x16
SVGALIB backend, and the intent was to also support drawing into an
X11 window, although I never got around to make that work. The
SVGALIB version worked, though.
