1. This braindead devices could not work RELIABLE at all in Windows or Linux.
2. Usually you simple does not have enough information to write driver.
Winmodems requres some sophisticated logic in program executed on main computer
CPU. May be it's possible do privide such logic reliable with RT-Linux but not
with standard Linux or Windows (in Windows under REALLY high load all known to
me winmodems are just useless). Plus in most cases you could not get information
required for writing such programs without NDA or even it's does not possible at
all. So you must perform HUGE AMOUNT OF VERY HARD work just to get unreliable
driver. Bad deal.
