Xfree SVGA server and fbcon

Earlier I posted a problem using the XFree SVGA server and the
framebuffer
devices. I found the solution and its a problem with the SVGA server not
the kernel (not neccessarilly SVGA's fault)

My graphics card is an ET6000 based Lightspeed 128 and when fbcon is
used
the X server no longer detects graphics memory correctly. When setting
up X using the config program it comments out the memory line. Just
uncommenting the line in XF86config starts things working again. The
mis-detection causes really horrible screen corruption.

I posted this because it does look like a kernel bug until you realise
what is wrong.

Now just got to solve restoring X after switching to another
virtual console :-)
