Do you have a PnP soundcard?
Do you hate making modules, only because you have a PnP soundcard?

Then on this URL, you'll find a solution:

http://bjesomar.srce.hr/~zcalusic/diff-pnp

PnP support, in the patch format, that applies cleanly to 2.1.115.

That is *NOT* my work, I only ported it to the latest development
kernel.

Code comes from Tom Lees great Plug and Play driver project for
Linux. Find more about it at http://www-jcr.lmh.ox.ac.uk/~pnp/.

Unfortunately, he has stopped working on code, around 2.1.88 (at least
that is latest supported kernel version in his patchlet). Maybe,
because Linus is not willing to put PnP support in the official
kernel, but who knows... :)

Use the patch, share it, and enjoy!
