How do you suppose a distribution is going to ensure that only the device
nodes for the installed hardware are in /dev for the users that don't
necessarily feel like rm'ing all those nodes they don't need while still
providing all the /dev entries needed for the largest of systems?

I don't see any code accept for Richard's at the moment, and scsidev is
just that... Only SCSI.
