ntfs oops

I got an oops while trying to mount an ntfs partition today. I did not write down the error and the disk containing the partition is not available anymore so I can't really give any detailed information ;(

What happened was that at a
# mount /dev/hdb2 /mnt -t ntfs
the mount whent into uninterruptible sleep and an oops scrolled by.

Am I alone on this?
