Yes, I am working on a solution right now. Basically, as soon as I can
stabalize the new code, I'll set it up so you choose which you wish to
have at compile time -- the new PPP code or the old one. The new PPP code
will be significantly revised.

The new PPP code is mostly done, but still needs some debugging, and
perhaps some hooks to make it backwards compatible with other pppd's.
