Hi.

If you have problems with PTYs in 2.1.115 just look at the docs ;-).
Well, a short explanation of what to change would have been better that forcing
people
to look into the patch and the devices file...

Here's what I did:
I compiled with UNIX98 PTYs _and_ DEVPTS file system on.
I made an empty directory /dev/pts. (The devpts FS seems not to need any
explicit mount).
I made /dev/ptmx (c 5 2) and replaced old /dev/ttyp? and /dev/ptyp? with the new
major numbers (c 2 x, c 3 x).

Now mc doesn't complain anymore and X _seems_ to work... well, I'm not quite
sure I
did all the right steps, as Netscape crashed already twice freezing all keyboard
and
mouse inputs to X. A bug?
