DEVFS: TDT before complaining about it (READ THIS!)

Ok, folks. I have no vested interest in devfs, just that I like it, and I
like dealing with Mr Gooch, cuz he keeps his shit together, and because it
hasn't broke my kernel (yet) ;) which is more than I can say for many of
those out there!

So, in the interest of unity, please address your concerns by trying the
devfs, it's different configs, and being a little adventurous.

You nay-sayers are so stuck in your ways that you don't see the benefits
of the devfs, but you wish HP-UXers and SCOers to switch to Linux??? I
thought "Trying things out" was a "Good Thing(tm)"

ALL of the complaints so far were from people who have not tried it beyond
looking at the new naming convention.

DEVFS is small, BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE, simple, provides a shortcut do
device-land from user-land, and keeps /dev heirarchied in such a way to be
THE SAME FROM DIST TO DIST!!!

In short, TTDT (Try the Damn Thing) before complaining!
