MIPS R3000/4000 Status

Excuse me for being somewhat off-topic, but what is the status of Linux
on the MIPS R3000/4000 CPUs? I spent last night searching for information
on the subject, and didn't find much except a FAQ about Linux/MIPS
that had a last changed timestamp of January, and the version updated 2
years before that was virtually identical. From what I've picked up, the
MIPS port is pretty specific about machines, too.

I'm aware davem has done a bit of work on the port, and I know the various
Cobalt machines all use MIPS cpus.

Please reply to me priavatley - I don't think we need to spend the time
cluttering up the list.
