No, Linux can do it in lowercase, or with the odd capital every
40 characters or so, but capital letters generate codes that have
more bits turned on resulting in a higher draw on the UART. Many
PC's have faulty UART's that can't supply the needed current, at
least not continuously.

Say, I've got 4 Commodore 64's here, all the cables, 2 monitors,
and tonnes of programming references, schematics, assembly books,
you name it... Would you be interested in buying them?

Sorry, I just have a weird sick sense of humor today.. ;o) I am
serious about those 64's though. And one VIC-20 too.
