Well, clearly your dirty shutdown habits are an issue that you need
to deal with. What the real issue is here is when your system
crashes unexpectedly, and a production server is out of commission
for *hours* while it fsck's large disk arrays. This can be very
problematic in an environment where 24x7 uptime/reliability is
a requirement.

Speaking of which - does someone have a hardware compatibility list of
hardware RAID solutions supported under Linux?

My personal website is a vague reflection of who I am, although it's now
about 3 years out of date. So, it's not quite accurate anymore, but it
was at some point in time.
