LM75/78/79 status?

There was a discussion a month or two ago about adding support for the
LM75/78/79 hardware monitoring chips. Does anyone know the current status of
this driver?

I'd be willing to help whoever is developing it, or if no one is, I'd be
willing to have a try at it.
