Compaq Smart-Raid support

Am I missing something, or is this scsi raid device just not supported
"yet" in linux? I've got a few(6) Compaq 1600R's with Compaq's
Smart-Raid drives mounted in the chassis that will have Linux on
them if I can get them to take Linux and any ideas would be greatly
appreciated..

I was hoping maybe it is supported in the 2.1 kernels, but am not sure how
to do a fresh install if this is true?
