Next week I am going to be setting up an PPro SMP machine. I was
wondering if anyone could suggest a stable 2.1 series kernel since the SMP
code is so much better.
Here is the hardware configuration:
2 - Pentium Pro 200MHz with 512 L2
i440FX chipset
256MB RAM
1 - 3Com 3C905 PCI 10/100Mbit NIC
1 DPT 3334UW/3 SCSI RAID controller
#9 FX Motion 771 video card.
Also, there are two EATA-DMA drivers. One is a PIO and the other is DMA.
Which one should I use?
