It appears that xconfig doesn't like using the $ARCH variable, as it
grays out options in the console drivers menu which should be available
for the i386 (like "VGA chipset support (text only)" and "VESA VGA
graphics console"). It works fine under menuconfig. I don't know
anything about Tcl/Tk or I'd fix it myself.
