It won't, due to kerneld glitches. What you need is:
<ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/alphabits/modutils/modutils-2.1.107.tar.gz>
or a simple patch <http://www.knm.org.pl/prezes/patches/modutils-2.1.85.diff>
