- SVGATextMode causes the "new" part of the screen to be full of
colorful blinking characters. Doesn't happen on 2.0.xx. Who's the
culprit: SVGATextMode or kernel?

- I had an Oops (I created that myself, so don't worry), which caused my
X screen to flash at me for a while. It looked to me as if the kernel
was printing the Oops to the console, and moving the "origin" pointer.
