Well, in fact the footer of the post is separated from whatever signature a
post may have by a single '-' character.

That, I believe, is on purpose to distinguish the footer from a sig.
Eventually, you can automatically process the lkml posts to remove the footer,
but you certainly will want to keep the signatures, isn't it?

OTOH, David Miller has kindly accepted (at Alan's suggestion) to host the FAQ on
vger, so as soon as we have worked out the details of the directory, etc...,
I'll ask Aaron Porter (the Majordomo owner for the lkml) to change the URL in
the lkml footer to point to vger. That should result in a shorter URL (I also
find it slightly embarassing to have my name - part of the URL - in every single
lkml post lately), and reduce the risk of confusion between the sig and the
footer.

THX for you suggestions for the FAQ. Contributed Q/A's are welcome, too. :-)
