First my system spec:
- Dell Optiplex GxPro dual PPro 200, 256K cache
- builtin 3Com 3c590 "vortex" 10bt revision 0
addr: 0xece0, interrupt: 11

The problem:
>From time to time the adapter/driver just "hang" for
a while (around 1-3 minutes) especially during high load.

This is quite annoying because ypbind cannot
obtain passwd/user info from NIS server.

Affected drivers:
- All 3c59x.c stock driver from 2.0.31 upward including
the latest 2.0.35

My temporary fix:
- Use the 3c59x.c driver from 2.0.30 kernel

Can anyone else confirm this?
