tulip reports incorrect statistics in /proc/net/dev (solved)

Hi again,

Don't know exactly what caused the problem but I suspect it has
something to do with media detection. Anyhow upgrading the tulip driver
from v0.83 (supplied with 2.1.105) to that of v0.89H from Donald
Becker's homepage fixed the problem.

The kernel debug message has also changed from

Jul 12 20:44:52 vortex kernel: eth0: Using user-specified media MII.
Jul 12 20:44:54 vortex kernel: eth0: MII monitoring tick: CSR12 ffffff00, MII status 780d, Link partner report 0000.

to

Jul 13 19:57:48 vortex kernel: eth0: Advertising 01e1 on PHY 0 (1).

Happy that things work again. Sorry for the noise.
