Cheap Synchronous Support for Linux 2.0

I've uploaded the very first snapshot of the Z85230 driver for Linux 2.0
to ftp.linux.org.uk:/pub/linux/alan.

Status
------

o PPP sort of works. Im not terribly happy with the code used
right now. Lets say its "minimally compliant". For 2.1.x there
is a grand "do PPP right" change going on that I will hook too

o Cisco HDLC works great against a 2501

o Non DMA IRQ driven modes are the only modes supported. That
limits the Z85C30 to about 9600 baud (ie X.25) and the Z85230
to 64Kbits. There is some real scope here for using RtLinux
to get non DMA cards up to T1 speed.

o DMA mode is coded, but doesnt yet work. Anyone else who has
hacked Z8530 stuff and cares to eyeball it please do

o Asynchronous support isnt finished. This is intended to
replace all the existing 8530/85C30/85130/85230 drivers
in the kernel with a common driver that does both sync
and async - want to do X.25 on your sparc IPC ?
