Cryptographic filesystems for Linux

I am aware of TCFS, and have downloaded it, but it seems too
complicated for my needs, also it requires nfs - which I don't
want.

So my question is: Is someone developing a cryptographic
filesystem for Linux that works just like a normal filesystem?
Something like crypto-ext2fs?

Where you mount like this:

mount /dev/hdc4 /mnt -t crypto-ext2

Please enter mount passphrase: ********

mounting /dev/hdc4 cryptofilesystem on /mnt.

Is something like that in existence? It doesn't need to be ext2
based, but that would be preferred.

Thanks.
