Richard Hirst ported the old 53c7,8xx driver to the 53c710 for some
m68k based platforms and it has been used succesfully on his MVME
boards and some Amiga SCSI controllers[1].

You should be able to port the driver to the PC, however I don't know
how much work it will take.

[1] Actually he just posted a patch to make it work properly on
systems where the CPU does not perform bus snooping.
