There are several general ftp->email servers, that Gatekeeper's system is
one of them. (And sorry, I can't remember them either.)
Using AltaVista to search for "ftpmail" gave me some 9980 matches, though..

But there also servers capable to send out files from the local storage,
one I wrote years ago is at:
mailserver@ftp.funet.fi
Start with "help" as the message content.
(The storage in there is not small at all... ;-) )
