Yes. I was seeing it regularily on sparc linux with 2.0.?? kernel. It
was very annoying. Usually tty1 died. I'm not sure, but maybe it went
away as they upgraded to 2.1.70. [Which crashes in much nicer ways
:-)]. That installation was redhat 4.2 based, I believe.
