Actually, DHCP is a superset of ... and no, there is no support for DHCP
in the linux kernel yet, only userspace support, see www.isc.org/dhcp.html

Unless you try to remoteboot one ( or more, actually :-)) Linux
workstation(s), you don't need DHCP in the kernel, and even if you do, you
have to hack the ISC dhcp client in order to maintain the lease.
I have a patch against 2.1.91 that implements that, but the network guys
didn't seem too enthusiastic and I didn't have enough time to keep up with
the rate of releases in the 2.1.x tree. If you're really interested I can
send you the patch or even download the 2.1.103 and re-hack the damn
thing.
