2.0.34pre16 Menuconfig messup

I'm using a clean linux 2.0.33 tarball, patched with alan's 34p16
patch, on a RedHat 5.1 system pretty much stock. I'm in the make
menuconfig screen for filesystems, and when I press PAGEDOWN, the
whole display messes up. It displays on every second line (the
dialog text) with big black bands to the left and right of each
line of text.
Just reporting it as a minor bug report, and to see if anyone
else has experienced this...
