2 major probs with 2.0.34p16
1) networking suddenly became very erratic, with `ping` times oscillating
between ~1ms, and ~300ms. This happened over a period of time so wasn't
some load burst. Additionally it was _cured_ by ifconfig'ing down then up
the network. We have a 3c900 Boomerang card. ANOTHER driver problem??
2) /dev/scd0 managed to eject while still mounted. Probably due to raw
cd-writing software speaking raw SCSI to /dev/sgb.
