2.1.102 and CardBus cards?

I have been unable to use my CardBus cards on my laptop since around 2.1.89
when the pci code changed - is this a known problem? One specific error from
the 3c575 card is like this

vortex_attach(bus 35, function 0)
loading device 'eth0'...

8K word-wide RAM 3:5 Rx:Tx split, autoselect/NWay Autonegotiation interface.
MII transceiver found at address 0, status 7809.
Enabling bus-master transmits and whole-frame receives.
