Oh, sorry: originally they were at the factory default (that is,
I don't reset them) -- probably "96 192 288". Later on I discovered
linux/Documentation/sysctl/vm.txt and tried increasing the .low
and .high values (to ridiculous values) to see what would happen.
It helped a little, but still I wasn't able to run two instances of
"man" at the same time.
