YES. The fragmentation part is very very very useful.

Hmm. At the time you took these stats, were the
trouble over? (most likely they were)
We probably should adapt free_memory_available() to
be far more intelligent than it is right now... I have
some ideas, just no idea how to implement it (somewhat
tired right now :).
