2.1.102 Success :-) and problem :-(

Hi all,

Just thought I'd report that 2.1.102 is the first kernel I've been able to boot cleanly for ages on my Dual P-II 400, SCSI-only system - it flies ! It used to hang between scanning for scsi hosts and scanning for SCSI devices attached to the hosts... Not much good if the kernel can't find your boot disk ! All that is behind me now though...

Unfortunately, I can't make my 3c905B net. card work - I don't see any inbound packets at-all. Outbound packets reach their destination OK, and I know this for sure. I can also confirm that data is being returned to the ethernet card OK (cables etc...) If I understand the Vortex debugging output, I don't seem to receive an interrupt when data is received, and no errors to say I've lost or discarded any interrupts...

Debug output from a 'ping' attempt looks like this:

eth0: Trying to send a packet, Tx index 52.
eth0: interrupt, status e201, timer 6.
eth0: In interrupt loop, status e201.
eth0: exiting interrupt, status e000.
eth0: interrupt, status e000, timer 30.
eth0: In interrupt loop, status e000.
eth0: exiting interrupt, status e000.
eth0: Trying to send a packet, Tx index 53.
... repeats ...

Any clues ?
Am I being totally stupid or is this a bug ?

Regards,
Steve
