this is a short note confirming that Linux pre-2.1.102-1 together with
the io-apic-patch-2.1.101-J patch sent to me by Ingo Molnar
finally fixed the problem with a serial mouse that would
mostly not work except making a jump every few seconds.
The problem was visible with previous versions of io-apic-patch-2.1.101,
but not with an unpatched pre-2.1.102-1.
